DAILY REQUIREMENTS

  • space - a special spot to sit or lay down, can be be your bed, or a yoga mat, or a place to sit where you can place a candle or something to signify that it is an enjoyable space to practice

  • headphones - for many of the recordings because they use binaural beats (sound switches between each ear’s speaker)

  • time - could be in the morning first time, or it could be right before you sit down to work (if you work from home), could be to take a break or to end your day - it can change each day as well - let it be up to you. The deeply restful ones are best in the evening but try to stay awake for best results - leave the lights on or keep the temperature cool for example. Most practices are around 15 minutes start to finish.

  • prep - start to relax before you show up to practice, a shower, a warm cup of tea, a specific scent that calms you, a quiet place to take a breath

  • journal - you can use a specific one just for your self care or combine it with others, the most important thing is that you feel safe writing down your true feelings in this book - you can even throw it out or burn it after you’re done with the 30 days or when it’s full just to prove to yourself that you don’t need to protect this journal from others - there may even be some shadow work or triggers around journalling that you can use these practices to work through if you don’t feel safe writing down your thoughts - reach out if you need support!

  • props - things to make you feel safe and comfortable i.e. comfy clothes - nothing tight cutting off your circulation, cozy, soft, safe feeling items like pillows, sheepskin and blankets, candles, essential oils or herbs to clear and set the scene

  • beginner’s mindset - this process is different that traditional mind body practices you may have done in the past so show up each day with a blank slate open to learning more about what your body needs and has to offer - release any pressure or expectations, this will stand in the way of your healing and relaxation - trust the process and embrace a slow, gentle pace
