METTA MEDITATION
Metta means love and kindness. This style of meditation originated in India over 2,500 years ago and was later popularized and incorporated into various Buddhist traditions. The practice of Metta Meditation can be traced back to the early Buddhist scriptures, particularly the Metta Sutta (Discourse on Loving-Kindness).
The heart is the most powerful source of electromagnetic energy in the human body, producing the largest rhythmic electromagnetic field of any of the body - even more than the brain.
The heart’s magnetic field, which is the strongest rhythmic field produced by the human body, not only envelops every cell of the body, but also extends out in all directions into the space around us. The heart’s magnetic field can be measured several feet away from the body by sensitive magnetometers. Research conducted at HMI suggests the heart’s field is an important carrier of information.
Connecting to feelings of love and kindness increases your energetic aura far beyond any other action. This is what people are referring to when they are talking about increasing your “magnetism”. You are radiating energy outwards and this can communicate to people around you without you realizing it. This can lead to opportunities and connections that are in alignment with your energy. At this point in your cycle when you are feeling most outward, this practice can encourage the types of connection that will bring you closer to your vision and in general improve your health.
