DEEP LISTENING
You are beginning to move inward and there can be lots of sensation and emotion at this time. These things are meant to tell us something and then be released. To avoid emotions building or becoming stagnant you will give yourself the opportunity to whole heartedly listen to your inner wisdom with this meditation. Without any expectations you are relaxing and being present with yourself for about 8 minutes. This may loosen up some strong feelings and give you a sense of ease. If anything becomes too much to handle seek support - you are not always meant to heal alone and depending on what’s going on you may need another trusted person to witness your emotions - give yourself the chance to listen to yourself first and then seek help if you need it.
BONUS:
If you ever find yourself in a rut that you can’t get out of - a strong emotion has you in it’s grip and it’s affecting your ability to work or be with people or causing nasty thought loops to run in your mind - remember that any emotion only lasts for 90 seconds. Thats the amount of time the chemical messaging takes to flood through your body. It’s only when we engage in another thought or reminder or memory to keep perpetuating the feeling that it lasts longer. Try counting to 90. It’s honestly a meditation in itself - if you can do it without being distracted you should be proud! See if it shifts anything, use it whenever you need to.
