EFT Tapping to reprogram anxiety and our addiction to productivity because at this point in the cycle you need to start slowing down and resting more - maybe even have a nap if it feels right. One of the biggest beliefs we have inherited from our western society is that our productivity gives us value. We feel proud and valuable when we are productive. This is a beautiful thing when it’s needed, it can also hurt your body’s healing process. The body, and mind, need down time to process, integrate and heal. Ironically, this down time is extremely productive - but it can be hard for us to accept.
If you experience anxiety when meditating or in stillness - this exercise will help reprogram your nervous system to feel safe until your able to relax into stillness.
To practice you will lightly tap the areas highlighted below while repeating: “I don’t need to be productive all the time. There is healing in stillness.” at each location. Do as many rounds as necessary.
